The Team & Role

Zuora is building a team of pre-sales Enterprise Architects as a core function within the Zuora  Solution Consulting team where you will have a major impact on our success. This team will help clients transform and optimize their order-to-revenue architectures, overcoming complexity and creating the scale necessary to manage recurring relationships for success in the Subscription Economy®.

We seek a highly collaborative, outcome-oriented Revenue Enterprise Architect to act as a technical leader on pre-sales opportunities. You will work in the field, collaborating as a key member of our account teams,  helping win new business and expanding strategic accounts. Your background will establish credibility and with technical leaders in some of our most strategic opportunities, and your work will secure the technical win while setting the customer up for success on their transformation journey.

Focusing on critical accounts, you will plan transformation strategy, lead pre-sales workshops, best practice and education sessions and advise our clients on how to build best in class subscription experiences. You’ll educate them on the unique value Zuora provides alongside their existing investments, guide them in mapping a phased evolution of their system architecture, and recommend how they fill gaps in their technology ecosystem. You’ll solve some of the most interesting business-critical challenges for high profile clients transforming the way they do business.

What you’ll do

  • Work with account teams as a high value resource to own architecture discussions and influence technical executive relationships.
  • Work closely with Solution Consultants and Revenue Advisors to create a vision beyond our products, detailing client journeys, and documenting architectural roadmaps that clarify Zuora’s role in the client’s technology ecosystem.
  • Own the technical relationships with a deep understanding of customer needs and constraints, including conducting functional discovery sessions and customer solutioning
  • Own adoption and the technical health of the customer
  • Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to a C-Level audience and articulate how Zuora’s platform will allow their business to succeed and grow
  • Create end-to-end use case-specific demonstrations mapped to prospects’ strategic objectives across industries
  • Challenge, recommend and validate order-to-revenue processes and data flows across the subscriber lifecycle
  • Identify gaps in current state architectures and help define future-state solutions with a roadmap aligned to client business priorities, goals and objectives.
  • Educate technical teams on recurring order-to revenue architectural concepts and design patterns that take advantage of the value Zuora brings versus traditional order-to-revenue systems
  • Build scale by educating internal Solution Consultants on architecture best practice and positioning within the wider opportunity base.

Your experience

  • 7+ years of experience as a Solution / Enterprise Architect.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a pre-sales environment preferably with a software vendor or systems integrator.
  • Deep expertise in SaaS & PaaS architecture principles and cloud-based infrastructure
  • Ideally experience across quote-to-cash/revenue processes, specifically across billing, payments, finance, and/or ERP functional domains.
  • Ideally experience with the Zuora platform, including Billing and Revenue
  • Exceptional skills in problem solving and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication and a proven track record influencing
  • C-level and Senior Architect audiences.
  • Salesforce, SAP, & Microsoft experience desired.
  • Good understanding of enterprise application integration, including APIs, SOA, ESB, ETL, EAI and modern SDKs.
  • Good understanding of security and compliance standards and processes in multi-tier cloud applications.
  • Used to working independently as well as part of a team with a proven ability to lead through influence.
  • Will have high energy and a willingness to be creative in formulating engagements with our clients, partners and colleagues.
  • You will be charismatic with a creative challenger mind-set and a strong ability to build trust and confidence.
  • Willingness to travel.

The base pay details represent the annualized salary range for the posted position. While we share a comprehensive range, a candidate’s final base salary will fall within these guidelines and will be determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to: qualifications of the candidate, job related knowledge, prior related experience, specific and unique skills, the location of the role, internal equity and internal budget.
