As the AI Staff of Applied AI Research Lab, you will work with the global team to define and deliver innovative AI solutions for the physical security industry. This hybrid position is based in our new cloud software R&D Innovation Center located in the Santa Clara, CA.
You will have opportunity to influence the direction of our potential solutions. You will be part of a great team of very supportive people who will help you be successful, but also expect a lot of you. We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and self-driven individual who should be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to dig into the research and definition of AI features.
Responsibilities
- Develop the innovative AI algorithm to deploy the world best AI product next generation for the physical security industry. (The innovative AI algorithm is for intelligent cloud surveillance system, high quality CCTV camera and AI solutions to make the society secure and safe.)
- Develop AI algorithm such as re-identification and object tracking for searching efficiently and extracting insight for AI cloud surveillance system.
- Develop deep learning based image enhancement algorithm that is low light enhancement, noise reduction, super-resolution for CCTV camera
- Develop the vertical AI solution for social secure and safe (for example, gun/weapon detection, fighting detection, smoke & fire detection, abnormal behavior detection)
- Write professional code to support research and product development, usually in Python, C/C++.
- Use transfer/meta/few shot learning, AI model optimization and compression to have the innovative AI algorithm
- Collaborate with the global research teams such as AI lab at college, AI start-up, big-tech.
- Support a team of AI lab (in Korea) to make AI edge device or cloud related products.
- AI edge device: AI CCTV camera, AI NVR, AI VMS
-Cloud: public or private cloud
Desired Skills and Experience
- Master or Ph.D (Preferred) in computer vision, machine learning related field.
- 3 + years’ of working experience in AI companies (big tech, start-up).
- Experience with computer vision based video analytics, AI-driven analytics.
- Development experience on edge/cloud.
- Proficient coding skills with Python, C/C++.
- Strong publication record in the major field of AI or computer vision is preferred.
- Some experience in video understanding such as action classification/recognition will be a bonus point
