Job description

This position is a remote opportunity for candidates based in the United Kingdom.

First, a little about us:

  • Born in 2000 as an ad agency for the video game community.
  • Ad agency partner for Indiana Jones, Doom, Starfield, Magic: the Gathering, Sonic, Final Fantasy and more! See our work at www.liquidadvertising.com.
  • Our clients are growing quickly - and so are we.
  • This is a remote position based in the United Kingdom

What’s this position about?

If you have a passion for gaming, advertising, and data and are ready for a challenging and rewarding career, it’s time to level up with us!

We put data-driven insights, analytics, and player behavior at the core of everything we do. More than just a media agency, we operate like a laboratory - constantly testing, refining, and evolving our approach to be the best possible extension of our clients’ teams.

By deeply understanding player motivations and market dynamics, we craft strategies that don’t just drive awareness but turn games into cultural phenomena. From high-level strategic planning to executing precision-targeted digital campaigns across display, social, page takeovers, digital video, and beyond, we make every decision with data, impact, and innovation in mind.

What’s this position about?

As an Associate Media Strategist, you will work toward responsibilities for developing, executing, and optimizing comprehensive media strategies for our clients. In this highly competitive role, you will leverage your data and communication skillset to drive results in media operations, campaign execution and analysis, and strategic planning, ensuring alignment with client objectives and agency best practices. You will collaborate extensively with internal teams and may have opportunities for client-facing interactions.

You’ll work hard. There is a lot to learn in this position. We’re looking for people who know how to go above and beyond to learn and put into action a broad variety of new concepts. This is not a 9-to-5 role during many weeks.

What you’ll do

  • Move through training to develop, execute, and manage innovative, data-driven paid media strategies across various digital and traditional channels (e.g., social, display, video, programmatic, influencer).
  • Own the end-to-end campaign lifecycle, including planning, setup, trafficking, QA, monitoring, optimization, and reporting.
  • Work with teams on in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and audience segmentation to identify strategic opportunities and inform campaign development.
  • Analyze campaign performance data to generate actionable insights and provide strategic recommendations for optimization and future campaigns.
  • Manage campaign budgets effectively, ensuring optimal pacing, spend allocation, and achievement of KPIs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., creative, analytics, account management) to ensure integrated and impactful campaign execution.
  • Develop the ability to prepare and present strategic recommendations, campaign performance reports, and insights to internal stakeholders and potentially clients.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging trends, tools, platforms, and best practices in digital media, advertising technology, and the gaming industry.
  • Contribute to new business pitches and proposals as needed.

Please note this is an opportunity to join our media strategy and buying teams, not for creative strategy/execution.

To join us in this highly responsible position, your profile should demonstrate current experience in modern digital advertising strategy and planning—

  • A proven interest in media planning and data as reflected in academic work, internships, or professional experience.
  • Ideally, up to 2 years of ad agency experience working with major clients on multi-channel digital media campaigns
  • Experience with fast learning and implementation
  • An understanding of the UK and broader European media partner landscape
  • Solid experience with analytics tools in Excel

Your qualities and attributes

  • Communication and presentation skills: Ability to convey ideas, insights, and recommendations effectively to clients, vendors, and internal teams both in writing and in person
  • Relationship building: Expertise in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and peers, understanding their unique needs, and managing their expectations
  • Delegation and time management: Ability to effectively delegate tasks to team members while managing personal time and understanding the importance of tasks and their impact on the team’s development
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking: Resourcefulness and skill in identifying and resolving challenges that may arise during the media planning, buying, and activation process, always backed by data and quickly shared with the team and managers

What’s in it for you?

Compensation is in the £24-32k range plus bonus eligibility. Our benefits program includes private insurance, a home technology stipend, and other perks.

No agencies, please. This is a pretty good representation of this position’s responsibilities but is not a comprehensive job description. Duties, clients, and team assignments may change as assigned. We regret we cannot consider applicants who live outside of the United Kingdom or those requiring visa support at this time.
