Summary
Join us as the Branch Lead – Footprinting at Quantis, where you'll steer solutions development and delivery, knowledge management, and training for the Footprinting/LCA team in Germany. As a key representative of the branch to the Global community of expertise, you'll provide subject matter expertise on LCA topics, lead and develop your people, and ensure scientific integrity and high-quality project delivery.
Requirements
- Have a Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a PhD degree involving significant conceptual and practical use of LCA
- Have 10+ years of experience sharpening skills and technical expertise in a professional setting, ideally with some experience in the consulting and private sector
- Have strong scientific background and deep intellectual and business curiosity
- Be able to provide subject matter expertise on LCA topics, including technical analysis, modelling, and data management
- Have strong leadership and project management skills, and be able to organize work, motivate, empower, train, coach a group of people to deliver progress and achieve goals
- Be at ease with managing multiple projects including significant projects at key account level
- Have experience in collaborating with stakeholders at different levels to collectively address client inquiries, supporting the business development efforts by providing expert opinion on how to solve client challenges
- Have an empowering approach and a strong interest in training and coaching colleagues
- Communicate effectively in fluent English; fluency in German is highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Act as the point of contact in Germany for all Footprinting topics regarding project sales and delivery
- Manage the team (currently 4 people)
- Own the team competency overview and recommend the right team member and team set up for given projects based on their seniority, competency, development needs, and interests when possible
- Recommend team sizing and competency evolutions versus branch business needs evolution in interface with country leadership team and key support functions
- Lead and develop your people, ensuring they are set up for success and focused on continuous improvement and growth while also guaranteeing scientific integrity and high-quality project delivery
- Align clients' needs with existing and new solutions offerings
- Serve as the key representative of liaison of the branch to the Global community of expertise
