For more info please refer to https://www.keywordsstudios.com/The Business Intelligence Data Analyst will become a subject matter expert for BI (data & analytics) on all intelligence-related tasks. The Analyst will work independently and in a team environment performing requirements gathering, data analysis, process mapping, test case definition, development, and collaboration across multiple business units and projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Requirements gathering – collaborate closely with department heads and business stakeholders to conduct workshops, interviews and analysis to better comprehend and capture their reporting and analytic needs
- Documentation – create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including BRDs (business requirement docs), functional specs, user stories, process flows and data dictionaries
- Data Analysis and Literacy – analysis of complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and insights. Validation of data sources and working with data engineers to ensure data quality, integrity and the development of the appropriate data models
- Stakeholder management – serve as primary liaison between BUs and technical team, manage expectations, communicate project status and facilitate UAT
- Solution validation – work with the dev team to ensure that final solution is aligned with iontial requirement and deliver tangible business value
- Develop and implement visually compelling interactive analytic reports and dashboards, which promote a clear story and effective decision making
- Ability to analyze and document complex business processes
- Develop and implement ETL processes, reports, and queries in support of business analytics
- Ability to apply the Project Management Principles.
- Perform data analysis to troubleshoot data issues with BI solutions and data integration processes.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and practices in accordance with internal and external audit governing bodies
- Support data governance processes
- Provide technical and business knowledge support to the team
Skills Required
- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst or similar role with a strong focus on Business Intelligence
- High level of data literacy, strong ability to understand data models, data lineage, data quality
- Experience in report design with a strong portfolio of past work showcasing best practices in data visualization and UX for reporting
- Working experience with Microsoft Office 365
- Working experience with Microsoft Power Platform
- Working experience with Google Workspace and App Script
- Proficiency with DAX and M languages
- Proficiency in SQL Queries
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture.
- Experience communicating with business users.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant work experience will also be considered.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Python Programming
- Statistical computing experience
- Exposure to the Cloud Platforms – AWS/Azure
- Exposure with DevOps implementation practices
- Scrum methodology delivery experience
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks
- Familiairty with other BI tools
