🚀 About the Team

he role of the Internal Audit Office is to provide independent assurance that Wakam’s risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively.

It provides an objective opinion and recommendation to the Audit Committee, the CEO and the Board by providing advice and guidance and where appropriate by measuring and evaluating their effectiveness and recommendation.

🎯 The Mission

As Chief Internal Audit & Supervisory Relations, you will play a critical role in building and leading Wakam’s internal audit function at group level. You’ll define the long-term vision, lead regulatory engagement, and be a key voice in supporting Wakam’s risk culture and compliance.

✏️ Your Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the vision for the internal audit function at Wakam

  • Audit current processes and historical structures to build a strong foundation

  • Lead the internalisation of the function at Group level

  • Oversee the execution of the audit plan in collaboration with external partners

  • Recruit and grow a high-performing audit team

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of audit missions

  • Recommend and track action plans tied to audit findings

  • Continuously improve audit methodology

  • Report findings to the Audit & Risk Committee

  • Act as the primary point of contact for European supervisory authorities

  • Coordinate all supervisory interactions across the organisation

  • Collaborate closely with Compliance, Legal, and Executive leadership

✨ Who You Are

  • Experience in a similar role in insurance, consulting, or a regulatory body

  • Master’s degree in Audit, Risk, Law, Compliance, or similar

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities

  • Strategic vision combined with operational execution

  • Outstanding communication and analytical writing skills

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
