Who You Are: An Independent Content Moderator

We’re hiring a part-time Content Moderator to help ensure user-submitted content aligns with our Terms of Service and community standards. You’ll be responsible for reviewing short-form text content that customers submit for voice generation, flagging any policy violations, and occasionally following up with customers by email.

This role reports to the Product Support Manager and works closely with our Support and Product teams. The role is 8–10 hours per week, ideally spread across five business days.

We’re especially interested in candidates who may be open to full-time work in the future, as we expect moderation needs and related responsibilities to grow over time.

How You’ll Contribute:

In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Review user-generated text content for violations (e.g., hate speech, NSFW content, illegal activity, spam)
  • Flag and log violations clearly following our internal documentation
  • Communicate with customers via email (using templates or answering basic customer questions)
  • Follow clear moderation guidelines and use internal tools (like Hive)
  • Collaborate with support and product teams to surface trends or ambiguous cases

What We’re Looking For

You ideally have some combination of the following:

  • Some experience with content moderation, customer support, or community management (entry-level is okay!)
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort following clear guidelines
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and asynchronously
  • U.S.-based and authorized to work in the U.S

Bonuses:

  • Familiarity with Trust & Safety or Terms of Service enforcement
  • Experience using tools like Hive, Zendesk, or similar
  • A customer-first mindset when enforcing moderation decisions
  • Fluency in Spanish

What We Offer

This is an hourly, short term role lasting until Dec. 31, 2025. The compensation for this role is $36-45/hour, DOE.

  • An intro call with our recruiting team (20 minutes); if it’s a match, we’ll follow up with a short example of the types of tasks you would be doing (~15 minutes).
  • An interview with our Product Support Manager (60 minutes).

All interviews will be remote via Google Meet; we are happy to make accommodations you might need to feel set up for success in our process.
