Position Overview:
Care Access is seeking a detail-oriented and agile Control Tower Specialist to support our nationwide asset monitoring and issue resolution infrastructure. This role serves as the central operational liaison for real-time oversight of clinical research assets—including Mobile Site Vehicles (MSVs), refrigeration systems, medical equipment, and environmental controls—critical to decentralized clinical trials.
The ideal candidate brings strong situational awareness, operational composure, and service-minded communication to ensure smooth functioning and responsiveness across field and internal teams. This position is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency, system reliability, and stakeholder coordination.
What You’ll Be Working On (Duties Include but Not Limited to):
- Monitor and track real-time statuses of all deployed assets, including vehicles, refrigeration units, medical equipment, and environmental control systems (E-Control) across multiple platforms
- Respond promptly to system-generated alerts, equipment issues, and field requests, coordinating directly with MSV specialists, site staff, logistics teams, and internal stakeholders to facilitate quick and efficient resolutions
- Accurately document all incidents, troubleshooting steps, asset statuses, and resolutions in established tracking systems, ensuring comprehensive records for audit and compliance purposes
- Conduct report consolidation and routine audits of tracking systems and asset management databases to verify accuracy, update statuses, and maintain data integrity
- Provide clear, concise, and proactive communication to field personnel, cross-functional teams, and leadership regarding asset status, troubleshooting steps, and resolution timelines
- Oversee asset calibration schedules and maintenance compliance, promptly reporting deviations or anomalies for corrective action
- Assist with additional projects such as report design, data maintenance, etc.
- Actively participate in system evaluations, quality inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives to refine Control Tower processes and optimize performance
- Analyze operational data to identify patterns, trends, or recurring challenges, developing recommendations and action plans to enhance operational efficiency and reliability
- Oversee asset calibration schedules and maintenance compliance, promptly reporting deviations or anomalies for corrective action
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with field personnel, MSV specialists, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient issue resolution

Physical Requirements:
- This role requires 100% of work to be performed in a remote office environment and requires the ability to use keyboards and other computer equipment.

Travel Requirements:
- This is a remote position with less than 10% travel requirements. Occasional planned travel may be required as part of the role.

What You Bring (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure clarity with cross department communication during high-pressure events
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and remain composed in dynamic environments
- Technical proficiency with monitoring platforms, data systems, and basic diagnostic tools
- Organized, proactive, and adaptable with strong time management capabilities
- Familiarity with dispatching, telemetry, or centralized operations systems preferred
Certifications, Education, and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in logistics coordination, central monitoring, dispatch, or similar technical operations role.
- High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
- Prior experience in emergency communication centers or clinical trial logistics is highly desirable.
