POSITION
The Deputy Head of Accounting Operations will join our team remotely. This position will work during standard US Pacific Time business hours.
REPORTING RESPONSIBILITY
This role will report to the Head of Accounting Operations in the Philippines.
DUTIES
- Assist in reviewing the company’s daily funding requirements.
- Review employee and contractor reimbursements prior to executive team approval.
- Assist in overseeing the team in the Philippines including but not limited to the following:
- Reviewing and processing contractor invoices, including cost analysis and reimbursement validation
- Updating property assignments
- Evaluation of performance of the accounting team
- Co-lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
- Propose and identify process enhancements; co-manage implementation upon approval by the Senior Managing Director.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external use.
- Help organize and facilitate training sessions, onboarding and outboarding activities.
- Provide high-level accounting and administrative support to the Head of Accounting Operations in the Philippines.
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Head of Accounting Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA required.
- Latin honors (cum laude, magna cum laude, summa cum laude) required.
- At least 10 years of audit / accounting experience with one of the Big 4 accounting firms with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Solid organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess strong work ethic.
- Must be a team player.
