What we need: We seek a Food and Beverage expert with a proven track record leading, advising, and influencing product or menu innovation from ideation to bringing the finished product to market while using a data-driven approach. You are a creative individual who enjoys solving complex business problems and thinks outside the box. You are comfortable presenting and discussing your findings with industry executives at all levels. You are a self-starter with the drive to win, and someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You demonstrate high business acumen with experience in consultative cross-functional collaboration.

You are:

  • An industry expert: You come with experience in multiple segments of the Food and Beverage industry and understand the roles and personas of the various company types and segments. You are involved in industry associations and can speak to all levels of stakeholders (including executives) on what challenges they have and what is important to their business and meeting their goals
  • Strategic and Creative Mindset: You can identify industry trends and customer challenges, applying insights to deliver impactful business results.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirited: You are driven to grow the business, managing multiple decision-makers with a consultative approach to sales.

What you will do:

  • Become the industry and product expert for the sales team, increasing conversion rates and closing highly complex enterprise deals

  • Create compelling business cases, ROI studies, and personalized pitches and demos alongside sales leadership to increase our conversion rates.

  • Act as a liaison between sales and product teams to ensure sales is up to date on all product offerings and can relay the value of these offerings in the market in real-life examples and scenarios

  • Represent Datassential in the market and at industry events, generating new pipeline for the team, establishing credibility, and building our reputation as the industry leader

  • Present to C-level executives in various segments of the industry, including manufacturing, distribution, operators, and foodservice tech on the value proposition of Datassential with a customized and tailored persona-driven approach

  • Assist the sales team in meeting and exceeding sales growth through highly effective, value-driven messaging

  • Build relationships internally/collaborate with key resources internally to maximize revenue-generating activity. Become the sales team industry and product expert

  • 5+ years of experience in the food and beverage space in a sales, marketing or insights capacity, and experience using the Datassential suite.

  • Proven ability to find solutions and solve complex business problems through data and analytics

  • Experience using predictive analytics and insights data within the Food and beverage industry.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both in person and virtually.

  • Flexibility to travel up to 25% for customer meetings, trade events, and speaking events.

Compensation range for this role will be On Target Earnings (OTE) of $170,000-$220,000. Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.
