Mission statement

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Derivative Sales to drive Keyrock’s derivatives business, focusing on expanding our corporate and institutional client base in the digital asset space. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will spearhead strategic initiatives to grow revenue through derivative products, including options, futures, and structured products, while fostering long-term partnerships with token issuers, foundations, and financial institutions. This role demands deep expertise in digital asset markets, derivatives, and a proven track record in sales leadership.

Job description

  • Sales Strategy & Execution

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for derivative products, targeting institutional and corporate clients in the crypto ecosystem.

    • Identify and qualify high-value leads based on strategic fit, revenue potential, and market alignment.

    • Drive end-to-end sales processes, from prospecting to deal closure, ensuring alignment with Keyrock’s business objectives.

  • Client Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their goals and delivering tailored derivative solutions.

    • Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring seamless communication and high client satisfaction.

    • Proactively address client challenges, leveraging internal teams to resolve issues and strengthen partnerships.

  • Product Expansion & Innovation

    • Collaborate with trading, product, and technology teams to design bespoke derivative and liquidity provision models.

    • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and introducing new derivative products to existing clients.

    • Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory developments, and blockchain innovations to ensure offerings remain competitive.

  • Market Analysis & Insights

    • Conduct fundamental analysis of blockchain projects, token economics, and market trends to assess partnership potential.

    • Develop risk-return models to support strategic recommendations and decision-making.

    • Provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders to enhance product development and market positioning.

  • Team Collaboration & Leadership

    • Work closely with Corporate and Institutional Sales team colleagues to help market and recommend client strategy proposals

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including compliance, legal, and engineering, to ensure seamless delivery of derivative solutions.

    • Mentor junior sales team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

    • Represent Keyrock at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility.

Background and experience

  • 8+ years of experience in business development or sales within financial services, with at least 3+ years in digital assets crypto derivatives market, or with significant exposure to crypto derivatives

  • Extensive knowledge of derivatives (options, futures, OTC structured products) and blockchain ecosystems.

  • Proven track record of engaging with token issuers, foundations, or institutional clients and closing complex deals.

  • Strong institutional network in both crypto and traditional finance sectors.

  • Familiarity with trading concepts, market-making algorithms, and financial analysis tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.
