Divisional Employee Benefits Communications, Senior Consultant
The EB Divisional Communications Senior Consultant is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies to help employees understand and engage with their benefit programs. This role involves consulting with clients, project management, and developing and delivering clear, engaging communications through various platforms. The Consultant will partner externally with HR teams and C-suites individuals as well as internal Producers and service team members to assess the needs of the client, determine appropriate channels, identify key messaging, and use data analytics to track engagement and adjust strategy accordingly to drive employee education and engagement.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Develop and implement communication strategies that align with the client’s goals and employee needs.
- Create engaging and informative best-in-class communications, including benefits guides, educational content, email campaigns, and other communication assets.
- Determine the most effective communication channels for the client’s target audience, such as email, intranet, or social media.
- Ability to create compelling and technically accurate employee benefits and wellness content for digital, video, print and in-person delivery.
- Effectively manage multiple client deliverables for small to mid-sized projects, with the ability to prioritize and adapt during high-volume periods such as open enrollment, which may require extended hours or increased workload to meet deadlines and client expectations.
- Contribute to new business pursuits, including helping develop proposal content and articulating the value proposition for the employee communications practice.
- Partner with HR teams, C-Suite, and sales teams to understand client needs and ensure alignment with communication strategies.
- Manage communication projects, including timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Determine and recommend best practice communication to clients, identifying opportunities to improve existing communications and processes.
- Ability to develop projects effectively and efficiently, including image creation, design, layout, type, and color, aligning with brands to create desired project results.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions, leading internal and external conversations.
- Communicate and manage changes to benefits plans and other HR policies.
- Support clients with open enrollment communications, ensuring employees understand their options and make informed decisions.
- Maintains engagement activities in agency management system according to data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).
Skills and Experience
- 6+ years of experience in HR, Total Rewards or Benefits communication consulting or related communication field.
- At least 1 to 2 years’ experience with a Benefits Broker, consulting with clients.
- Ability to speak and present effectively in both small and large groups.
- Excellent design, writing, and storytelling skills and demonstrated proficiency in developing content for print and digital media, with subject matter expertise in employee benefits and wellness.
- Proficient in skills in PowerPoint and Microsoft products. Desired knowledge in Adobe products: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat.
- Experience developing microsites, preferred experience with FLIMP.
- Project leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, highly virtual, and team-oriented environment.
- Design and writing examples will be required during the interview process.
