About the Role

As our E-commerce Operations Manager, you’ll work behind the scenes to help streamline and manage our day-to-day business operations. With a strong focus on Amazon, you’ll take control of the back-end operations of our store, monitor KPIs, and oversee everything from inventory to troubleshooting operational issues.

The E-commerce Operations Manager will play a key role in communicating with suppliers and logistics partners, coordinating with marketing and service agencies, and identifying gaps or inefficiencies in daily operations.

You’ll need strong strategic thinking skills and an operational mindset. We’re looking for someone who can take the initiative and work autonomously to make sure everything runs like clockwork behind the scenes.

Mission Statement:

The primary mission of our E-commerce Operations Manager is to run our Amazon store efficiently. You’ll be required to monitor data, strategize, identify issues, and make changes as necessary, as well as communicating with our suppliers and service agencies.

General responsibilities:

The responsibilities of our E-commerce Operations Manager include the following:

  • Manage and optimize Amazon listings.
  • Oversee inventory levels.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Amazon policies.
  • Monitor sales, operational KPIs, and supply chain performance.
  • Generate reports and provide actionable insights to improve efficiency.
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in daily operations.
  • Propose solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Maintain direct communication with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely product availability, shipping, and fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with external marketing and service agencies to ensure projects are aligned and delivered on time.

Position specifications:

The E-commerce Operations Manager position includes committing to the following:

  • Full-time commitment and 40 work hours per week (8 hours work day)
  • Availability and a high level of responsiveness during our general office hours

Profile:

As our E-commerce Operations Manager, you need to be a problem-solver with a flair for strategic thinking and an operational mindset. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are must-haves for this role.

You should have a background in (or an in-depth understanding of) the Amazon platform (including Amazon Seller Central), e-commerce operational tools, and spreadsheets. You’ll need to be able to work autonomously in a remote environment and deliver consistent results.

Your role will include managing multiple stakeholders, communicating efficiently and in a way befitting of the brand, and keeping all moving parts of the Amazon store aligned.

The ideal person for the E-commerce Operations Manager role is someone who’s proactive, communicative, and works easily without needing to be directed. You must be comfortable juggling multiple tasks, working with various partners, and managing your time accordingly.

Our ideal E-commerce Operations Manager will demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, have an eye for detail, and be process-oriented. You’ll need to be comfortable communicating with various stakeholders on a daily basis, and be able to work autonomously and deliver results. You should be tech-savvy enough to understand and work with Amazon Seller Central, various operational tools, and spreadsheets. An understanding of the data is necessary, and excellent time management skills is a must for you to succeed in this role.

Key requirements:

The E-commerce Operations Manager position has the following key requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in an e-commerce operations or Amazon store management role

  • Proven track record of managing product listings, logistics, and third-party coordination

  • Familiarity with e-commerce tools and dashboards (Amazon Seller Central, inventory management platforms, etc.)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (You must be fluent in English, although English doesn’t have to be your native language)

  • An ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities while staying organized and focused

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and excellent time-management skills

  • An ability to work autonomously and independently while taking ownership of your work

  • Being comfortable with building and nurturing relationships, while having the resilience to handle rejection professionally without it affecting your work quality

  • A proactive mindset with a knack for getting things done and thinking creatively

  • An ability to persuade and influence others for the purposes of positive accountability

  • Being comfortable working with technology and learning new tools to improve efficiency

  • Familiarity with working autonomously and managing your own time independently and effectively

  • Being open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism and improving on it

  • Must be available and responsive during our office hours
