We are Recruiting on Purpose an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Substation CAD Designer to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong AutoCAD Electrical skills, capable of working independently or as part of a collaborative engineering team. This full-time position supports the drafting and design of high-voltage substations ranging from 46 kV to 500 kV. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and draft high-voltage electrical substations using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Work closely with engineers to produce accurate protection and control drawings.
- Manage project deadlines with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong time management skills.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Provide design input and technical support to ensure projects meet specifications and client requirements.
- Maintain organized project documentation and file management systems.
- Occasionally work extended hours to meet project deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or two-year technical degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience with protection and control CAD design for electrical substations.
- Prior experience working with investor-owned utilities.
- Familiarity with MicroStation is a plus.
