Summary

Requirements
- Mechanical or Electrical university degree in Engineering
- Chemical minor and/or influence in degree a plus
- Working knowledge of plans, prints, specifications and schematics associated with trade
- 5 years of construction experience with working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing construction procedures and practices
- Computer literate - master of Cad software a plus
- Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs
- Confirms systems and components capabilities necessary for safe hazmat handling and controls
- Achieve detailed understanding of the Contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, engineering systems relationships, construction sequencing and project schedule
- Facilitates problem solving, as may arise, between contractors and subcontractors during construction
- Validates design issues related to the hazmat structure engineering and suggests alternative solutions
- Assists in the receipt and review of engineering submittals
- Logs and posts all engineering changes and as-built information on field drawings
- Assists in the scope review, budgeting and justification of engineering proposal pricing and change work orders
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of International Building Codes (IBC), NFPA 30, USEPA, and OSHA a plus
