The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of game economy design, player behavior, and monetization strategies to create a fair, engaging, and sustainable economy that enhances player experience and revenue generation. Key Responsibilities
- Design, balance, and maintain the in-game economy, including currencies, resources, rewards, pricing, and progression systems.
- Develop and refine monetization strategies that align with player engagement and retention.
- Analyze player behavior, economy performance, and key metrics to optimize in-game economy systems.
- Collaborate with game designers, data analysts, product managers, and LiveOps teams to drive economic balance.
- Implement and iterate on economic models that support both free-to-play and paying players.
- Design systems for content rollout, live events, and progression mechanics that drive long-term player investment.
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and player feedback to continuously improve economic design.
Requirements
- Proven experience in game economy design, monetization, or game design.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
- Deep understanding of player psychology, spending behaviors, and engagement loops in F2P games.
- Familiarity with A/B testing, LiveOps strategies, and economy modelling.
- Probability theory and mathematical statistics knowledge.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English.
