What is this position about?
At Ventrata, we’re transforming the way tours and tickets are sold around the world — and we’re looking for a passionate Go Developer to help us do it.
We’re in the middle of an exciting transition, migrating some of our most critical components — including the OCTO API, the interface that connects us to our customers — over to Go. That’s where you come in.
As part of our remote team, you’ll help shape the architecture of a new Go-based backend and play a key role in the integration of new services. Think bookings, availability, and product APIs — all built the right way from the ground up. You’ll focus on crafting clean, efficient, and scalable services that power the engine behind the entrance to the world’s most famous attractions.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Thinks like a systems architect – sees the big picture, but sweats the details.
- Has experience designing APIs and backend services in Go.
- Can work independently, but loves collaborating across a team.
- Thrives in the fast-paced environment of a startup, where ideas turn into shipped code — fast.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop a new OCTO API implementation from the ground up.
- Design and implement new API features to support the needs of internal teams.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and bugs, and deliver effective, scalable solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a focus on reusability and reliability.
- Contribute to code quality through best practices in testing, organization, and automation.
Qualifications and Skills (must have)
- Expert knowledge of Go.
- Expert knowledge of PostgreSQL.
- Self-management.
- Intermediate English.
- Strong understanding of data structures, and software design principles.
- Experience in designing, building, and maintaining complex APIs.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.

Experience with GCP
Experience with Playwright
Ruby on Rails background
