Job description

We are seeking a Part-time Graphic Designer with a strong background in desktop publishing and advanced skills in PowerPoint. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating compelling presentations and visual content that aligns with client specifications and branding guidelines. This role requires a creative individual who can conceptualise and execute designs efficiently, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • PowerPoint Design: Develop high-quality presentations and documents within PowerPoint, ensuring all designs meet client requirements and brand standards.
  • Creative Conceptualisation: Generate creative ideas to translate client concepts into visual designs that effectively communicate the desired message.
  • Adobe Collaboration: Utilise Adobe software to enhance visual elements used in PowerPoint presentations.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs are visually appealing and on-brand, with a strong attention to detail and aesthetic coherence.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their design needs and provide updates on project progress.
  • Training Participation: Engage in training sessions provided by the client to refine skills and align with specific project requirements.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Must-Haves

  • Prior experience in a desktop publishing role, particularly within a corporate setting.
  • Willingness to adapt to client-specific tools and processes, with a proactive approach to learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong creative and conceptual skills with an eye for detail and design aesthetics.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and a strong understanding of Adobe design software.
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in desktop publishing.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Formal training or qualifications in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • Highly creative with the ability to convert ideas into practical designs.
  • Strong organisational skills with the capability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong portfolio is required upon application to demonstrate design proficiency.
