Role Description
Our Head of Installation and In-Home Repair Services, Strategic Programs, will provide technical expertise and senior leadership to manage all aspects of installation and repair services, including the last mile, in-home experience, and equipment. In this role, you will own the strategic roadmap and change management for the Installation Services and In-Home Repair at GFiber. As a member of the Central Field Technical Operations team, you will lead, guide, and direct the strategies to create a best in class installation and repair experience.
In this critical role, we’ll count on you as our foremost subject matter expert in Installation Services and In-Home Repair at GFiber and will organize and manage the delivery of process and systems driven projects across a wide spectrum of cross-functional partners including the Field, Customer Service, Network Operations, Workforce Management, and Sales teams. Using a viewpoint of constant improvement and a growth mindset, you will look for opportunities to optimize our processes from an end to end perspective.
In this role, you’ll:
Own the development and implementation of a comprehensive programmatic roadmap for Installation and In-Home Repair Services teams.
Lead the modernization, automation, continual improvement opportunities to heighten operational effectiveness, agility, and install efficiency.
Oversee enterprise wide installation services and in-home repair projects ranging from technical systems, operational efficiencies, and financial strategies.
Lead change management for Installation Services and In Home Repair - playing in control while driving change into the business in a way that achieves best in class customer experience.
Partner at the executive level (including C Suite) with market teams, external partners, and cross functional teams.
At a minimum we’d like you to have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience in field operations in the telecom or cable industries.
5 years of experience in Installation Services including operations and central team roles.
5 years of experience in Program Management directly leading projects.
Experience with field service platforms and strategy in Installation Services.
Experience with modern customer promise equipment (CPE/In Home) solutions, Last Mile fulfillment, and Locates management as the plant owner.
It’s preferred if you have:
BA or BS degree in Engineering, Computer science, Telecommunications, Economics, or Finance.
10 years of experience, including 7 years of experience with installation services and 3 years of experience with fiber network operations with outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) fiber infrastructure.
Experience as a technician or direct supervisors of technicians.
Workforce management experience including dispatch and/or operations center focus.
Experience designing, building, or operating high-availability dark fiber or optical transport networks.
Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $221,000 - $304,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
