Summary
We are seeking qualified candidates to fill a Junior Structural Bridge Engineer position in our King of Prussia, PA office. The role involves assisting senior level bridge staff with analysis, design, detailing for bridge reconstruction on various projects, report preparation, field reconnaissance and inspection, attending meetings and conferences when necessary/required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with concentration in structural engineering) from an ABET Accredited College
- 3 to 5 years of experience
- Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, SAP2000, Midas Civil, EnerCalc, and MathCAD is a plus
- Familiarity with reinforced concrete and steel design
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word & Excel
- Desire to work in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Assisting senior level bridge staff with analysis, design, and detailing for bridge and culver reconstruction on local, state DOT, and Turnpike projects
- Report preparation
- Field reconnaissance and inspection
- Attend meetings and conferences when necessary/required
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferably have their EIT Certificate (or the ability to obtain within 12 months) – PE License is a plus
- Experience with PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission projects and their design software is a plus
