Job description

Responsibilities

  • Work with Producer and Art Director to ensure timely completion of game environment assets

  • Maintain production appearance, including quality and art style

  • Be responsible for coordinating and facilitating day-to-day art production processes for the project

  • Create briefs and documents for asset creation and training

  • Participate in defining tools and art production pipeline; understand advantages and limitations of technology and develop strategies for maximizing performance

  • Prepare content submission packages to be sent to clients, and ensure all content is actual, organized, quality-checked and ready to be submitted to client review in-time

  • Participate in the establishment of short and long-term artistic goals

  • Be responsible for identifying and recommending areas of artistic growth of each artist of their team

  • Be fully aware of the client’s expectations for upcoming content drops, or rejected assets

  • Communicate regularly with the Project Manager and Art Director regarding status of current project milestones

  • Interact with (Lead) Artist or Manager on client/partner side

  • Investigate client technology and train team artists in using it

  • Assist monitoring team wellbeing and identifying potential risks

  • Work with Technical artists on constant optimization of the graphical content

  • Take an active part in team art discussions, critiques and reviews

  • At least 1 published game as an Environment\Level Artist on PC or console platform

  • 6+ years of experience as a professional game development Environment\3D Artist

  • Experience in leading a team of artists

  • Proficient awareness of the software packages and tools of the games industry

  • Solid experience of using Unreal

  • Being an expert in at least three areas of artistic production

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create results driven and team-oriented environment

  • Open minded

  • Self-motivation, great communication skills, and a great team-player attitude

  • English from B2

  • Solid experience in modeling, sculpting and texturing environment components using 3ds Max, Maya, Zbrush and Photoshop (or equivalent packages) shown in portfolio
