This is a remote role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated professional to manage our audit projects and staff. This position would also assist in ongoing client retention and building the audit business line.
Job Duties:
The Manager will assist the Sr Director of AAPC Services in managing clients, daily activities and assignment for audit and consulting projects. Specific responsibilities include:
- Manage client needs and expectations to ensure project scope, requirements and deliverables are developed appropriately with clients for audit, consulting, and other related service offerings
- Responsible for coordinating the allocation and assignment of resources to ensure client projects are delivered on time, on budget and that client expectations are exceeded
- Responsible for maintaining department audit standards, protocols, and guidelines
- Audit medical records, validate clinical documentation, support evaluation of management services, ancillary services, procedures, and diagnoses and prepare summary findings making recommendations
- Research regulatory guidelines for supporting documentation
- Manage auditor staff to ensure smooth operations of daily activities and that productivity and quality standards are being met
- Regularly monitor performance and provide feedback and coaching to direct reports
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare auditing and client project management
- Minimum of 3 years mentoring staff
- Extensive auditing experience in multiple specialties
- Extensive knowledge of AMA, OIG, CMS and other national coding and compliance guidelines (billing, auditing, compliance and reimbursement for physician practices and facilities: CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10- CM
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to interact effectively with physicians, management, and staff
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, and deadline driven attitude
- Critical thinking ability to determine best methods for completing tasks
- Strong leadership skills
- Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent customer service skills
Certification requirements:
- CPC
- CPMA or RHIT
