Job Summary:
The Manager – Media QC is responsible for leading the Quality Control team to ensure the highest standards of media content delivery across all platforms. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, people management, operational planning, and quality assurance to maintain service excellence and meet client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise day-to-day QC operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of QC tasks.
· Track and analyze individual and team performance metrics to identify trends and performance gaps.
· Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
· Develop, document, and regularly update SOPs for all QC workflows and processes.
· Ensure consistent implementation and compliance with SOPs across all QC teams.
· Implement preventive measures to reduce recurring issues.
· Implement corrective action plans where needed.
· Serve as the escalation point for complex technical inquiries and QC issues.
· Forecast workload and resource requirements based on delivery timelines and incoming projects.
· Optimize team scheduling to maintain operational efficiency and avoid bottlenecks.
· Recommend staffing changes based on business needs.
· Maintain quality KPIs and share insights with senior leadership.
· Prepare and maintain detailed QC checklists for various content types.
· Identify and report any risks, bottlenecks, or deviations from schedule, proposing mitigation plans.
· Coordinate with other departments to ensure cross-functional alignment.
· Assess staffing needs and participate in hiring qualified QC operators.
· Conduct technical interviews and skill evaluations for potential hires.
· Develop and lead comprehensive training programs for new and existing QC staff.
· Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications or a related field.
· 7+ years of experience in media operations or QC, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
· Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is a must.
· Deep knowledge of media formats, codecs, and specifications.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
· Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
· Previous experience in digital content distribution, localization, or media asset management.
· Supervisory experience required.
