Play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing  processes.

Collaborating  with  cross-functional  teams,  you  will  be  responsible  for  identifying  and  resolving  defects, ensuring compliance with specifications, and contributing to the overall improvement of the software development life cycle.

Ensures customer excellence

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal customer base.

  • Lives the company’s values and service standards with regards to customer interaction.

  • Adheres to business processes and systems to meet the company’s quality requirements, i.e. conduction post implementation testing.

  • Takes personal accountability for service excellence.

  • Adheres to the company’s work standards.

Information security

• Understand their role within the organisation from an information security perspective and commit to protecting the organisation’s security information assets.

Finance

• Ensures Cost savings and efficiencies in area of accountability.

Self- development

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations and upskilling.

  • Prepare personal development plans in conjunction with Manager and implement in line with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning:

  • Collaborate with teams to understand project requirements and specifications.

  • Develop test plans outlining test strategies, scope, resources, and schedule.

Test Design and Execution:

  • Analyse features and apply appropriate test techniques.

  • Design and execute test cases based on project requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.

  • Conduct various types of testing, including functional, system, integration, regression and user acceptance testing.

  • Provide feedback to automation testing team to improve efficiency and coverage.

  • Provide test analysis and execution estimations on test effort.

  • Participate in test case reviews, test case walk through and contribute to peer reviews of test cases.

  • Identify, document, and track defects, and work with teams to ensure their timely resolution.

  • Identify and raise project risks on time.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of project

  • testing requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with team members to report testing progress, issues, and blockers.

  • Participate in regular meetings to discuss testing plans, challenges, and improvements.

  • Participate in grooming and other requirements elicitation discussions.

  • Participate and contribute to knowledge sharing sessions.

  • Attend and participate in running team meetings.

  • Liaise with the automation team and discuss test cases to be automated.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to the improvement of the software development life cycle by providing feedback on testing processes,tools, and methodologies.

  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and testing tools to enhance testing processes.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.

  • Ensure that testing artifacts are up-to-date and accessible to team members from test repository.

  • Update and maintain regression test packs.

Requirements and Desired Attributes

  • BSc/BA or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ Years experience in software testing.

  • Experience in test management tools such as Azure DEVOPS.

  • Experience testing APIs.

  • Experience in performing exploratory-based testing.

  • Experience in onboarding junior colleagues.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and timelines.

  • Ability to manage time.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies.

  • Self-starter who works well with team and can drive projects forward with minimal supervision.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • ISTQB testing certifications.

  • Competent in basic SQL.
