With the objectives of improving care quality, developing a high-functioning team, driving cross-functional work streams to improve efficiency and integration, and developing a strategic vision to support care evolution, this role is critical to Included Health’s mission to raise the standard of health care for everyone.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and operationally-minded clinician leader who excels in a dynamic environment, leads with empathy, and is excited about driving systems-level change.  The position requires dedicating 10% of time to clinical care and 90% of time to administrative duties.

Reporting to the VP of Behavioral Health, you will support day-to-day clinical operations on the Psychiatry team, and be responsible for retention, performance, and quality of care. Responsibilities may include occasional travel, presenting at conferences or business development calls, and participating in clinical initiatives or Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement projects.

You will demonstrate inquisitiveness, independence, a growth mindset, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence. Strong analytical skills and the capacity to manage complex situations is necessary. In addition, you must excel at building teams and creating strong working partnerships across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly evaluate systems, tools, and processes to ensure Psychiatrists are able to easily, efficiently and effectively provide care
  • Provide strategic leadership to support growth and innovation on the Psychiatry team and within the greater Clinical organization
  • Manage cross-functional projects to drive results
  • Partner closely with our Quality team to enhance clinical care, better monitor outcomes, and support clinicians in their professional development
  • Manage clinician escalations, quality concerns, and compliance issues as they arise
  • Support strategic relationships with key clients as assigned
  • Identify a communications strategy to ensure Psychiatrists are well-informed and able to effectively provide care on our platform
  • Interview, onboard and train Psychiatrists
  • Participate in external facing activities such as webinars or conferences when required
  • Dedicate approximately 16 hours per month to providing clinical care
  • Manage direct reports including assigned clinicians, as well as the Psychiatry Program Manager
  • Provide clinical consultation and support professional development efforts
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Psychiatry within and external to Included Health, as required
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data and relevant tools (e.g., Looker) to inform decisions; support clinicians in using measurement-based care frameworks and empirically supported methods

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of independent practice as a licensed Psychiatrist
  • Minimum three years of experience managing clinical teams (5+ years preferred)
  • Licensed, board-certified Psychiatrist in good standing with your state board(s)
  • Active and unrestricted license in home state
  • Qualified candidates must meet all clinical and educational requirements as outlined in the Clinician Employment Agreement / Offer Letter

Physical/Cognitive Requirements:

  • Prompt and regular attendance at assigned work location.
  • Capability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
  • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.
  • No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs of force (e.g., lifting a computer / laptop) may be required.
  • Capability to work with leadership, employees, and members in an appropriate manner.
