About Central California Alliance for Health
We are a state-funded regional Medi-Cal managed care plan, founded in 1996. We provide health insurance for children, adults, seniors, and people with disabilities in Mariposa, Merced, Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz counties. We serve over 456,000 members.
Our main goal is to improve access to health care for lower-income residents by connecting them with primary care physicians and clinics for care management. We cover most health care services from primary care providers, specialists, hospitals, and licensed allied health care providers. Some services are covered directly by Medi-Cal.
Our work involves Utilization Management, Quality Improvement and Population Health, Pharmacy, Care Management, and Enhanced Health Services. We also implement Risk Adjustment programs for Medicare and Medi-Cal, investigate fraud, waste, and abuse through Program Integrity activities, and use Payer Analytics to develop and validate managed care payer models. We also provide clinical leadership for Medicare D-SNP programs.
We recently celebrated 30 years of operation.
