Mutual of Omaha Mortgage is searching for a DPA Mortgage Closer to join our team!

Key Responsibilities

  • Review loan files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal, state, and investor requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver closing packages, ensuring all documents are accurate and executed on time.
  • Coordinate closing activities with loan officers, processors, title companies, and borrowers.
  • Verify that Down Payment Assistance (DPA) program requirements are correctly applied, and documented.
  • Resolve closing-related issues quickly and professionally to avoid delays.
  • Ensure compliance with TRID, RESPA, and all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external partners throughout the closing process.
  • Balance files, confirm wire instructions, and ensure disbursements are accurate.
  • Efficient balancing both 1st and 2nd (s) CD or ALTA’s depending on state regulations.
  • Ability to properly edit docs pulled from state website’s., including understating of what documents are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of mortgage closing experience with strong knowledge of purchase, refinance, FHA, VA, and conventional loan products.
  • Required: Direct experience closing loans with STATE specific Down Payment Assistance (DPA) programs.
  • Strong understanding of TRID, RESPA, and compliance regulations .
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal staff, title companies, and borrowers.
