Our team is dedicated to developing the hardware devices that compose the kits that help Sword treat our members. To deliver these hardware kits the team is composed of four verticals: Firmware, Operating Systems, Hardware, and Quality Assurance. Our primary goal is to develop standalone systems that fulfill the exact needs of the member’s program while delivering the best possible experience to the member. Besides the products themselves, the team is also responsible for developing the production line that allows testing these devices while being manufactured to assure they have our quality standards when reaching the member.
We are looking for an Operating Systems Engineer Trainee to join our Research & Systems Team to help us develop system applications and internal tools to support our processes.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop, integrate and test software, either at the operating system level or application level (our stack is based on Android);
- Troubleshoot, debug and optimize our OS and our production systems;
- Help in the definition of requirements and the development of internal software solutions to support production processes;
- Contribute to the design of novel solutions that can be integrated into our products;
- Writes well-designed, efficient, and scalable code, and also participates in code reviews and contributes to the development of standards and best practices;
- Communicates with clients to gather requirements and provide technical support.
What you need to have:
- Knowledge of C/C++, Python and shell programming languages;
- Knowledge of Linux OS;
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills;
- Passion for developing novel and unique systems that have a direct impact in people’s lives;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
