Job description

We are looking for a proactive, process-driven, data-informed PeopleOps Generalist who will provide a full range of administrative support to our PeopleOps organization.

This is a remote-first position (Eastern Time Zone strongly preferred) reporting to the Director of Human Resources.

In this role, you’ll leverage your extraordinary attention to detail to support day-to-day operations for the employee lifecycle, from recruiting to onboarding and offboarding. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter who will respond to employee inquiries, oversee the calendar of events, maintain and prepare internal documentation, conduct and maintain employee onboarding processes, and perform various other administrative functions.

$65,000 to $85,000 Annual Salary + Benefits + Growth Potential

An offer will be made within the listed salary range in line with the selected candidate’s skillset and experience level. To honor our company-wide equitable pay system, this salary range is non-negotiable.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Help support and protect an inclusive culture across the organization
  • Act as an initial resource for employees’ questions by fielding questions, managing change requests, and bringing issues and questions to resolution
  • Process a variety of employment-related updates in our HRIS system, including changes in employee status, pay, and jobs
  • Perform end-to-end onboarding by sending pre-employment emails, coordinating Day 1 logistics, and hosting new hire orientations
  • Conduct I-9 verification and E-Verify usage and ensure I-9 compliance
  • Facilitate completion of compliance training requirements and escalate overdue items
  • Support internal communication efforts in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Operate with a mindset of continuous improvement, contributing to the evolution of our processes and procedures in a remote work environment
  • Organize and host employee events such as company-wide meetings, birthday celebrations, team building, etc.
  • Execute rewards and recognition strategy (new hire gift boxes, anniversary gifting, bereavement gifting, etc.)
  • Help foster an inclusive culture by supporting engagement and recognition programs, and company events coordination
  • Own and update the Coforma PeopleOps events calendar
  • Maintain the PeopleOps JIRA ticketing system, tagging others when their assistance is needed
  • Maintain the PeopleOps Playbook in Guru and own documentation around our policies and processes
  • Assist Talent Acquisition with first round recruiting, resume reviewing, and other projects
  • Create learning and development materials in partnership with the Director of Human Resources
  • Serve as a payroll backup for the Finance team
  • Support special projects and other ad-hoc initiatives across the team as needed

Who You Are (Requirements)

  • You have 2+ years of experience working in people operations for a high growth company
  • You can maintain the highest standard of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
  • You are curious and creative
  • You are able to effectively find gaps in processes and policies to suggest improvements and recommendations
  • You are proactive and comfortable with ambiguity and can effectively work through projects or tasks with little instruction and oversight
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable communicating with stakeholders both within and outside your own team
  • You have a customer service mentality and can build rapport and trust with teammates, internal stakeholders, managers, and employees
  • You thrive on organization and attention to detail
  • You have a “can do attitude” and are willing to both teach and learn from team members to ensure knowledge is dispersed across the team for proper coverage
  • You’re excited to get broad exposure to various PeopleOps functions and to contribute to the ongoing improvement and evolution of our systems
  • You’re a full-time resident of the contiguous United States who is legally authorized to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience with our PeopleOps tech stack, which includes BambooHR, Goody, Guru, JIRA, Lattice, and Lever
  • Prior experience working at fast-paced startups in growth mode
  • 2+ years of experience working on a remote, distributed team across multiple time zones

  • Internet: Will prioritize and maintain access to strong, reliable internet for the remote nature of our work, except when on vacation or holiday.
  • Security: Will keep the highest security practices to ensure privacy and security of Coforma and client information, given the nature of our work, even when on vacation.
  • Travel Flexibility: On request and with advanced notice, will attend in-person events such as meetings, workshops, and trainings as assigned for projects that require it.
  • Brand Representation: Will represent Coforma professionally and sincerely, modeling our Company Values in all interactions.

$65,000 - $85,000 a year

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 per year, and an offer will be made in line with the selected candidate’s skillset and experience level. To honor our company-wide equitable pay system, this salary range is non-negotiable.

We participate in E-Verify. Upon hire, we will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the United States.

Due to the nature of our work with the federal government, this role is required to work from the contiguous United States.
