We are a minority-owned small business, founded in 2017 by CEO Eduardo Ortiz. We are certified as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and an 8(a) company.

We partner with government and private sector clients to design digital solutions and build technology products that improve people’s lives. We use a modern, agile, and user-centered approach, focusing on human needs and ethical technology.

Our services include software development, digital services, design research, UX design, product design, content design, solutions development, product management, DevSecOps, accessible design, API architecture, cloud migration, and systems integration. Our work primarily serves healthcare, public interest, and veterans services.

Examples of our projects include streamlining digital claims for veterans, improving access to quality healthcare, and connecting families in crisis. We partner with organizations like the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Health and Human Services, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. We also co-founded the Digital Services Coalition.

Our mission is to reshape how communities access and use technology. We are committed to creating technology that helps people and avoids harm. We carefully vet projects and partners to ensure they align with our mission.

We believe in “partnerships over consulting,” focusing on true collaboration and co-creation. Our core values include ethics, inclusivity, and accessibility in all aspects of our work, from coding to research and design. We consider social and environmental factors, the digital divide, and user differences.

We maintain a “people-first” approach, building with, not for, individuals and communities. This often means embedding with client teams. Our work is also guided by transparency, care, individual autonomy, accountability, justice, equity, and democratic institutions.

We are a remote-first company with a team of over 160 individuals. We value collaboration, transparency, and care, promoting a culture of individual autonomy and accountability. We also strive to address imposter syndrome and build a diverse talent pool.

We create cross-functional teams tailored to project needs, bringing together experts like graphic designers, product designers, content strategists, and engineers. Our employees come from diverse backgrounds, including Americans, immigrants, civil servants, and veterans. Many have experience in federal, state, and local government agencies, or through volunteer work and military service.
