The Service Specialist for Enterprise Modernization in Europe is a senior subject matter expert responsible for technical excellence, solution integrity, and asset development within the service line. This hands-on role supports high-impact client engagements, contributes to pre-sales and solution design, and ensures the regional adoption and evolution of service-specific delivery frameworks, tools, and best practices. The Service Specialist brings deep expertise in modernization strategies and execution in large legacy systems modernization programs, serving as a trusted technical advisor to both clients and internal teams. This role is key to ensuring delivery quality, enabling service adoption, and evolving the technical maturity of the offering.
Job responsibilities
- Provides technical guidance on Enterprise Legacy Systems Modernization.
- Supports delivery teams in solving complex client problems.
- Contributes to solution design, proposals, and pre-sales activities.
- Develops and refines service accelerators and reference architectures.
- Mentors engineers and architects within the service domain.
- Acts as a bridge between delivery teams and global service development.
- Measures success by technical quality, asset adoption, and talent uplift.
- Requires 10+ years of experience in software engineering or technical consulting.
- Requires 3+ years in Enterprise Legacy Systems Modernization advisory.
- Focuses on technical depth in modernization strategies and cloud architecture.

- Experience supporting solution design and technical delivery in complex enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to build, extend, and support delivery tools, frameworks, and reusable assets.
- Deep technical expertise in modernization strategies, cloud architecture, and platform thinking.
- Strong engineering skills, architecture patterns knowledge, and toolchain understanding.
- Excellent communication to translate technical insights into actionable business decisions.
- Collaborative with mentorship abilities and solution-oriented with asset contribution commitment.
Professional Skills
- 10+ years in software engineering, platform delivery, or technical consulting roles.
- 3+ years in a subject matter expert or senior technical advisory role within Enterprise Legacy Systems Modernization.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Certifications in relevant platforms, tools, or frameworks for the Enterprise Legacy Systems Modernization domain.
- Experience contributing to internal accelerators, open-source projects, or client-aligned IP development.
- Familiarity with enterprise transformation programs and the consulting delivery lifecycle.
