Job Title: Product Design Manager
Princeton, NJ
Remote role
Salary: $120,000/year
Responsibilities: Manage and lead team of product designers, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship. Assign tasks, monitor workload, and ensure timely delivery of work. Develop and execute product design strategies that align with the company’s overall strategic objectives. This includes understanding market trends, user needs, and business goals. Participate in the design process by conceptualizing and creating user-focused designs. Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to ensure that designs are feasible and within scope. Focus on creating an optimal user experience, incorporating user research and feedback into design decisions. Oversee the quality of design deliverables, ensuring that they meet established standards and guidelines. Develop prototypes to visualize and validate product ideas. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, marketing, and product management to ensure design consistency and coherence across all product lines. Create detailed design specifications for development teams. This is a remote role.
Qualifications
Requirements: Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, User Experience Design, or a related field and two years of experience in UI/UX design. Experience must include two years each of the following: product design; applying accessibility guidelines such as WCAG to product design; design using software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma; user-centered design, including user research and testing; and Agile development processes. Experience must include one year each of the following: designing AAC devices and applications for people with Aphasia and other communication challenges; conducting user-acceptance testing with adults with Aphasia. Experience may be gained concurrently.
