Railroad Technical Solution Services Specialist I - Programming
Benesch is hiring a Technical Solution Programming Services Specialist to join our talented Rail team. As a Railroad Technical Solution Programming Specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop and manage daily customs QuickBase functionalities in one of our largest and fastest-growing divisions.
The Impact You Will Have:
- Assist with software design and coding.
- Respond to requests from senior Solutions Architects.
- Assisting the development manager with all aspects of software design.
- Work with the development manager to learn and improve coding skills.
- Maintain code libraries.
- Create reports, internal and external code documentation.
- Learn debugging techniques.
- Test and monitor applications.
- Great communication skills to plan and collaborate with companywide colleagues.
- Knowledge of basic coding languages including Jinja, HTML and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of QuickBase, AWS and ESRI Software.
- Basic programming experience.
- Knowledge of databases and operating systems.
- Ability to learn new software and techniques quickly.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented.
What We Are Looking For:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in Railroad Project Management operations preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Front-End Web developer or similar position.
- Knowledge and experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS required
- Active QB Pipelines Builder Certificate preferred
- Knowledge and experience with python and Jinja preferred.
- Understand emerging cloud-based project management technologies and their application to improve business operations.
