  • Maintain and manage datasets and other information critical to the Global South program’s work
  • Collaborate on advocacy efforts related to the program’s goals and policy messaging

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of geopolitical or geoeconomic issues affecting one or more regions within the Global South, including Latin America, Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, or the Pacific Islands
  • Current enrollment in β€” or recent completion of β€” an undergraduate or graduate program in political science, international relations, economics, or a related discipline in the social sciences or humanities, ideally with coursework or experience in data science
  • Strong quantitative research abilities, with experience using programming languages such as R or Python; proficiency with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus
  • Solid writing and analytical skills, with basic familiarity with the AP Stylebook
  • Comfortable working with both Microsoft Office and Google Workspace platforms
  • Experience navigating large international data repositories, such as those maintained by the World Bank or United Nations
  • Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred
