About The Role:
We’re seeking a dynamic, strategic research professional to join our Research Solutions team at Morning Consult. In this role, you’ll blend your expertise in survey research with a collaborative spirit to bring innovative projects to life.
You’ll have the opportunity to design and deliver impactful research initiatives that empower our clients to unlock the full potential of Morning Consult’s data-driven technology. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, you’ll help expand our client offerings and ensure we consistently exceed client expectations.
In this role, you’ll work hands-on across the full research lifecycle—designing surveys, analyzing large datasets and translating insights into actionable recommendations for clients. You’ll collaborate closely with both internal teams and clients, balancing multiple projects and priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail. Your strategic thinking, strong communication skills and passion for exceeding client expectations will be key as you help shape impactful research solutions and contribute to the growth of our team and client relationships.
The Research Solutions Team at Morning Consult:
The Research Solutions Team at Morning Consult is focused on custom-designed research and is crucial to Morning Consult’s industry-leading, customer-obsessed Commercial Organization and its ability to drive sustainable growth across our entire portfolio of business. Morning Consult’s mission is to deliver high-impact, quality intelligence at scale to decision-makers anytime, anywhere. Our team consists of business leaders and researchers with experience in market research, insights, political polling, strategic consulting and more.
What You’ll Be Working On:
- Work on diverse research projects with various methodologies and approaches to obtain important answers to a client’s research question, with manager oversight
- Work with a team to create end-to-end research: from questionnaire development to survey fielding to report creation
- Interface with clients to gather survey inputs, communicate progress and explain data insights and methodology
- Navigate Morning Consult’s data ecosystem and deliver consultative value to clients to deepen trust, with manager support
- Analyze data to create deliverables that address client/study objectives, with minimal oversight
- Focus and prioritize work based on business-critical priorities, with occasional guidance from your manager
- Join sales calls to interpret research needs, explain simple methodology and support the proposal process by providing accurate pricing inputs and methodology suggestions
- Adopt and share best practices for the research process and project management across teams to increase knowledge and skill
- Perform such other tasks and duties as may be required or assigned from time to time in the Company’s discretion
About You and What You’ve Done:
- 3+ years of experience designing and analyzing custom quantitative survey methodologies, including both tracking and ad hoc designs
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Comfortable working with lots of large data sets; experience with manipulating data to pull out insights from the data
- Proven track record of success and experience in the research industry
- Experience working closely with clients, eager to exceed client expectations to deepen trust
- Strong prioritization skills, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Organized planner who clarifies priorities and progress with collaborators to maintain visibility
- Strategic thinker who can recognize research project risks and proactively get ahead of issues
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand customer expectations and exceed them to secure trust
- Uncompromising attention to detail with high technical standards and dedication to learning best research practices
- Proactively raises barriers to success and contributes creative ideas to increase impact
- A constantly curious individual who seeks stretch assignments, taking advantage of on-the-job learning opportunities
- Willing to take feedback, learn and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvement

The expected salary range for this position is $64,300 - $100,000, with a midpoint of $82,100.
In most cases, we target the midpoint of our salary ranges for new hire compensation. This placement is reflective of full proficiency in a role. This role is eligible for additional variable compensation and an equity grant, which will be discussed in your initial recruiter conversation.
