Job Title: SAFe Proxy Product Owner (Cloud)

Location: Dulles, VA - Hybrid

Duration: Contract

Clearance: Active Secret. Must be able to obtain TS/SCI.

Description:

Supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment; including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats. We are seeking a SAFe Proxy Product Owner (Cloud) to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities.

Responsibilities Include:

β€’ Leading and collaborating within an Agile Scrum team as an Agile Release Train (ART) lead responsible for developing advanced, leading-edge, cloud-oriented automation and orchestration architectures that provide rigorous, self-validating cybersecurity capabilities to a major U.S. Government customer

β€’ Leading and facilitating team related Agile events (PI Planning, Release Governance, Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, etc.) while maintaining all artifacts (Backlogs, Decisions, Blockers, etc.)

β€’ Eliminating impediments and actively addressing issues so that the team can remain focused on achieving the objectives of the Program Increment (PI)

β€’ Escalating as needed when blocking issues are beyond the team’s authority or require support from other teams

β€’ Fostering a collaborative team environment through coaching & leading appropriately

β€’ Leading and facilitating preparation & readiness for ART events (e.g., PI Planning, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt, etc.)

β€’ Review high quality technical documentation, including user guides, test plans, and contract deliverable items and supporting product training

β€’ Leading Agile Scrum teams in the system design and implementation of advanced, cloud-oriented autonomous cybersecurity capabilities

β€’ Interfacing directly with customers, stakeholders, and end-users regarding capability architectures, requirements, use cases, and stories to derive, develop and decompose next-cycle updates and specifications.

β€’ Full lifecycle oversight of requirements driven automation architecture

Required Skills:

β€’ U.S. Citizenship

β€’ Active Secret (S) clearance. Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

β€’ Must be able to obtain Client Suitability

β€’ Proven leadership skills and meaningful experience successfully leading infrastructure as code (IAC) projects

β€’ Experience communicating with program leadership

β€’ Independently driven, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

β€’ 8+ years of professional experience in a technology related field

β€’ 5+ years direct experience in either complex autonomous package builds, autonomous api driven backends, infrastructure automation and orchestration, event driven micro-service architectures, orchestrated infrastructure automation, or configuration driven deployments

β€’ 2+ years of experience in either AWS, MS Azure or GCP

β€’ Strong working knowledge of either multi-environment autonomous orchestration, automation tooling, pipeline deployments, or software application integration

Desired Skills:

β€’ Experience leading teams and projects at either the tech lead or product owner level

β€’ Familiarity with Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira, Git, Ansible, Chef, AWS lambda, terraform or cloud native tools like CloudFormation

β€’ Programming experience (Java, Javascript, .Net, Python, or Ruby)

β€’ Familiarity with using, updating, and programmatically manipulating Linux and Windows

β€’ Experience with NTP, DNS, Networking, LDAP, or Software repositories

β€’ Experience with branching and release strategies, CI/CD Pipelines,

β€’ AWS cloud technology knowledge and implementation experience

β€’ Experience designing and implementing event driven microservice architectures

β€’ Experience in technical oversight of individuals and projects

β€’ Experience working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps environments

β€’ Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) knowledge and experience

β€’ Experience with agile tools, including Jira and Jira Align

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree level education.

Desired Certifications:

β€’ DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II

β€’ Certifications related to Agile development and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Practitioner
