Job description

Sleed, an e-business & digital marketing agency with extensive field experience and a strategic partnership with Google, awarded for the 4th time as e-business and e-commerce agency of the year, is looking to fill a mid-level position for a SEO Specialist.

We are looking for a team player, who will be handling a diversified & challenging portfolio of clients, will act as a member of a team of 6-10 members and will have full responsibility for client and team success.

What will you do?

His/her primary responsibilities will be to develop, manage all SEO activities such as content strategy, link building and technical SEO on behalf of our clients. He/she will plan and develop strategic search engine optimization strategies for our clients, to help them grow their SEO presence, traffic and revenue. The candidate will be responsible to ensure increased customer satisfaction levels, business growth of customers and growth of the team and company.

SEO Specialist can be promoted to Senior SEO Specialist after a significant period of successfully serving an adequate range of customers from multiple industries and several sizes and also has managed and guided a sufficient number of teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Measure and track site ranking factors, keywords, internal and external links, and site content

  • Review and audit clients’ sites to drive change that complies with current best practices

  • Perform SEO Audits and drive the implementation roadmap of on-page optimization

  • Be the leading figure in SEO Audit Presentations & the driver of new SEO insights on a weekly basis, on Technical & Content SEO improvements

  • Perform comprehensive keyword research and analysis to identify valuable opportunities for content optimization and improved visibility

  • Monitor the performance of clients’ SEO strategies and provide recommendations for ongoing optimization

  • Stay current with search engine trends to develop and improve SEO practices within the agency

  • Report on all clients’ important KPIs, using reporting & presentation tools

  • Help our clients implement the tasks and projects agreed with our SEO team, using project management skills, guidance and training when needed

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, web developers, and designers, to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all aspects of website development and content creation

  • Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming

  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and develop strategies to outperform competitors in search rankings

  • 2-4 years of experience as an SEO Specialist or in a similar role, preferably in an agency environment

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Understanding of SEO core elements including, but not limited to, on-page and off-page tactics, optimization of site navigation, internal linking structure, URL structure, title tags, and meta descriptions

  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and website analytics platforms

  • Experience in SEO Optimization for News Portals

  • Ability to start and complete an SEO Audit independently

  • A functional understanding of HTML and CSS

  • Identify and troubleshoot technical SEO issues, such as crawling errors, indexing problems, pagespeed issues, XML sitemaps & robots.txt errors, and schema markup, and implement appropriate solutions

  • Ability to have challenging, but productive business conversations

  • Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach

  • Ability to extract trends and insights from complex data sets

  • Understanding of business-related concepts and the interrelationship between key metrics

  • Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices in SEO to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge and effective

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with basic SEO tools such as Google Search Console and Screaming Frog

  • Familiar with Google Analytics and basic reporting capabilities

  • Familiar with Google Sheets or/and Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Keyword Research and SEO Competition analysis tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc will also be appreciated

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients

  • Fluency in Greek and English
