We hold true to our core values: innovation in everything we do, passion & excellence in every area, individual empowerment, initiative and ownership, and teamwork over ego. At Lucid, we value diverse perspectives and are dedicated to creating an environment and culture that is respectful and inclusive for everyone. Lucid is a hybrid workplace. We promote a healthy work-life balance by allowing employees to work remotely, from one of our offices, or a combination of the two depending on the needs of the role and team.

Since the company’s founding, Lucid Software has received numerous global and regional recognitions for its products, business, and workplace culture. These include being listed to the Forbes Cloud 100, Fast Company Most Innovative Companies, Fortune Best Workplaces in Technology, and PEOPLE’s Companies that Care. Lucid’s solutions are used by more than 100 million users across the globe, making Lucid the most used visual collaboration platform by the Fortune 500. Our customers include Google, GE, and NBC Universal, and we partner with leaders such as Google, Atlassian, and Microsoft.

As search rapidly evolves to include AI-powered experiences, we are expanding our team to ensure our content is not only discoverable in traditional search engines but also surfaced, cited, and trusted by AI systems. As an AI-Search Optimization Specialist, your role will be instrumental in shaping Lucid Software’s visibility and authority within the evolving landscape of AI-driven search. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Marketing Technology and collaborating closely with the Director of SEO, you will be responsible for identifying and executing strategies that position Lucid Software effectively in AI search environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative AI-search optimization strategies to maximize Lucid Software’s visibility and citations in AI-powered search tools (e.g., Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude etc.). This could include:

    • Optimizing existing and new content for AI-driven search, focusing on readability, citation optimization, and structured data.
    • Developing strategies to ensure Lucid is cited on trusted LLM sources (Reddit, Wikipedia, review sites like G2 and Gartner etc.)
    • Assisting in technical audits to identify and resolve issues that may impact AI discoverability.
  • Conduct in-depth research to understand how LLMs recommend resources and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies related to AI search translating findings into roadmap priorities and stakeholder guidance.

  • Collaborate with content, product, customer operations and web teams to ensure all digital assets are designed to be cited, summarized, and trusted by both human users and AI systems.

  • Support the creation and refinement of AI-powered content workflows, ensuring content is generated, QA’d, and optimized for both traditional and AI search.

  • Monitor Lucid Software’s mentions and citations across various LLMs and AI search tools. Provide detailed, data-driven reports that track progress on AI search visibility as well as traffic and user growth via AI channels.

  • Work closely with the SEO team to align AIO strategies with broader organic search goals, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to discoverability.

  • Champion AI-search optimization best practices across the organization, providing training and support to relevant teams.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in content marketing, SEO, or a related digital marketing field, with a focus on emerging search trends.
  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog and other web analytics and SEO software.
  • Basic familiarity with schema markup, structured data (JSON-LD), and their implementation.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator; you are comfortable working with people in a variety of roles across the organization and are quick to build relationships of trust. You can translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights and can influence stakeholders across teams to take action on those insights.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized; you are effective at prioritizing and managing work across multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Have flexibility and tolerate ambiguity while still operating effectively.
  • A strong, self-driven desire to learn, experiment, and adapt in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with or optimizing for generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity.
  • Understanding of AEO principles and how LLMs surface structured content, specifically with an understanding of how AI-driven search differs from traditional search.
  • Experience with AI visibility platforms (Profound, ScrunchAI, Goodie etc.)
  • Ability to utilize AI tools to efficiently create and optimize content at scale.
  • Experience in a B2B/PLG SaaS environment.
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks for optimizing content performance.
