Job description

Seeking a skilled ADABAS Developer/DBA to support a federal customer. Must be a U.S. Citizen for this remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, patch, and upgrade database server software.

  • Create/manage databases, data files, users, roles, profiles, and storage.

  • Monitor performance, conduct tuning, and resolve database issues.

  • Implement and maintain database security in compliance with federal STIGs.

  • Perform Com-plete, NATURAL, and EntireX administration.

  • Develop/maintain scripts, jobs, backups, recovery, and disaster recovery exercises.

  • Provide technical support, documentation, and audit response for database environments.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain/maintain federal clearance.

  • 10+ years ADABAS/Natural database development and administration.

  • Strong experience with ADABAS v8.x, Natural 4GL, JCL, batch processing, and mainframe utilities.

  • Proven expertise in performance tuning, backup/recovery, and compliance with STIGs.

  • Experience supporting federal or large enterprise environments.

Preferred

  • ADABAS Certified Database Administrator (Mainframe or Open Systems) or NATURAL Certified Application Developer.

  • Familiarity with modernization projects, NaturalONE, APIs, and cloud integration (AWS/Azure).

  • Experience with Software AG products including EntireX and Com-plete.

  • Location: Remote (DC or Denver metro area).

  • Clearance: Must be eligible for federal suitability clearance.
