Role Overview:
We are urgently seeking a Senior AEM Backend Developer to join our Digital Experience team for a 3–6-month contract. The ideal candidate is an expert in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) with a strong foundation in Core Java, backend architecture, and content management systems. You will play a key role in building scalable and robust digital platforms for our global client.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop AEM backend solutions using AEM 6.5 and AEM as a Cloud Service.
Create and maintain custom components, templates, and services using OSGi, Sling, and JCR.
Drive content migration using Groovy scripting and automation tools.
Implement and enhance Digital Asset Management (DAM) workflows, including Dynamic Media integration.
Manage Content Fragments and Experience Fragments to support hybrid/headless delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, architects, and product owners.
Ensure high-quality code with unit testing, code reviews, and best practice adherence.
Diagnose and resolve performance and integration issues within the AEM ecosystem.
Required Skills & Experience:
7+ years of backend development experience with strong Core Java (multithreading, collections, data structures).
Hands-on experience with AEM 6.5 and AEM as a Cloud Service.
In-depth understanding of OSGi, Sling, and JCR.
Experience with DAM, Dynamic Media, and metadata schema design.
Expertise in Groovy scripting for automation and content operations.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and headless CMS models.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in AEM Sites or AEM DevOps.
Exposure to Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, or other Adobe Experience Cloud products.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
