Data Engineers work closely with business stakeholders to understand their goals and identify data-driven strategies to achieve those goals. They design data modeling processes, create algorithms and predictive models to extract the insight the business needs and help analyze the data to increase the productivity and efficiency of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Expertise working experience with programming languages like Python, and SQL
- Solid understanding of data lake, data warehousing and analytics
- Research, design, and implement data modeling designs to solve complex problems
- Communicate complex concepts and data pipelines to non-technical audiences through data visualizations
- Identify opportunities and formulate data orchestration and data modeling projects to optimize business impact
- Serve as a subject matter expert in data warehouse and analytics research, and adopt the new tooling and methodologies in Knowbe4
Requirements:
- BS or equivalent plus 8 years experience
- MS or equivalent plus 3 years experience
- Ph.D. or equivalent plus 2 years experience
- 5+ years of Data Engineering experience in building enterprise-grade big data products and applications.
- Experience in lakehouse technologies like delta or iceberg.
- AWS experience preferred rather than other cloud providers - AWS tech: s3 tables, EMR, Glue, Athena, Glue data catalog
- Strong grasp of writing production quality code in Python with good understanding of object oriented programming
- Strong experience building scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark
- Experience in SQL
