Senior Data Platform Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to work on a MySQL to PostgreSQL migration, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity. Help on Kubernetes migrations, Terraform refactoring, and CI/CD improvements. You will be responsible for scaling infrastructure, optimizing deployments, and ensuring the reliability of our cloud-based systems.
Responsibilities
*Drive and support in the MySQL to PostgreSQL migration, ensuring smooth execution.
*Improve database replication, failover, and high availability strategies.
*Ensure logging, monitoring, and observability of best practices.
*Contribute to cloud security, scalability, and performance tuning.
*Support monorepo decomposition by breaking Terraform-based infrastructure into modules.
*Migrate Kubernetes clusters to improve scalability, security, and GCP integration.
*Refactor and optimize Terraform configurations for better performance.
*Enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Technical Requirements
*5+ years of experience in Database Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps.
*Strong knowledge of MySQL & PostgreSQL, including data migration strategies.
*Knowledge in Kubernetes (GKE) and Terraform.
*Hands-on experience with GCP services and multi-cluster deployments.
*Proficiency in Google Cloud SQL & GCP database services.
*Proficiency in SQL query optimization and performance tuning
*Strong knowledge in PostgreSQL architecture, indexing, partitioning, query tuning.
*Experience with CI/CD automation, observability, and cloud security.
*Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash scripting.
