Full-time employee - Remote

Salary: $130,000 - $140,000

Scope of Work:

Capio Group is looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect to provide Enterprise Architecture (EA) services to operate strategically and provide industry subject matter expertise and have specific knowledge of methods including governance, enterprise architecture strategy, development and management, business process design and reengineering, and support the attainment of business strategy and its alignment with processes and information technology strategy. At the client’s discretion, the Senior Enterprise Architect will provide services tailored to support various project and initiative objectives, which may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Strategic Alignment:
    1. Establish connections with all existing roadmaps to align the project objectives with broader strategic objectives.
    2. Facilitate, create, and maintain project and initiative-specific deliverables, such as plans and roadmaps, tailored to the project or initiative specific needs and goals.
    3. Proactively identify and plan for any new enterprise or shared services required to support project or initiative requirements and scalable for enterprise needs.
  • Strategic Support:
    1. Guide and support the project’s strategic vision, collaborating with cross-functional teams to anticipate and adapt to changes throughout the project lifecycle.
    2. Ensure alignment between the project architecture and the business strategy driving the initiative, as well as with planned solutions, IT products, and enterprise shared services.
    3. Guide and contribute to the creation of enterprise architecture models that reflect the project’s business objectives and map data and technology to support these goals.
    4. Collaborate with product discovery teams to understand emerging product needs that can support the project’s initiatives.
    5. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business process improvements and reengineering opportunities.
    6. Evaluate the integration of existing and new products, define their roles within the overall architecture, and identify requirements for potential enterprise or shared services to address upcoming challenges and opportunities.
    7. Assess current and future technologies required to meet the project’s goals and requirements, considering their fit within the broader enterprise, and coordinate IT governance approvals.
    8. Foster strong working relationships with internal business programs and product managers.
    9. Utilize project management tools and standards for effective communication and project management.
    10. Utilize client’s modeling tools and standards for the development of enterprise architecture artifacts.
    11. Adhere to product delivery standards, methods, and practices, which may include Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban), and provide strategic support to both internal teams and vendor partners.
    12. Contribute to overall governance processes, including enterprise governance and IT governance, to ensure alignment with project objectives.
    13. Create and contribute to the development of enterprise architecture framework, guidelines, and standards.
  • Architecture Assurance:
    1. Conduct and document evaluations of proposed solution architecture and project architectural artifacts to validate alignment with the client’s EA approach and standards.
    2. Document architecture assurance findings in the enterprise architecture repository.
    3. Ensure project architecture alignment with state and federal compliance requirements and the architectural frameworks (MITA).
    4. Ensure adherence of project architectural artifacts to the established enterprise architecture repository standards and processes.
    5. Facilitate communication and usage of the enterprise architecture repository to the project team.

Mandatory Experience:

  1. Within the last 10 years, a minimum of seven (7) years of FTE experience applying Enterprise Architecture principles. At least five (5) years of that experience must be in a lead capacity
  2. Possess a bachelor’s degree in an IT- related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.

A copy of the diploma must be provided upon request; if the degree is not in English it must be accompanied by a translation performed by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).

  1. Within the last 10 years, a minimum of six (6) years of FTE experience developing major components of the enterprise architecture plan including strategic drivers, current and target architectures, roadmaps, and deliverables.
  2. Within the last 10 years, a minimum of five (5) years of FTE experience with communicating project technologies that require governance approvals and describing how the technology impacts the Enterprise.
  3. Within the last 10 years, Seven (7) years of FTE experience implementing and/or analyzing end-to-end solutions ensuring that standards and best practices of enterprise architecture are being applied to project deliverables and the overall Enterprise solution.
  4. Must be able to provide a client/user end reference contact information for each applicable project meeting the requirements and two client references to sign attachments upon request. The reference contact must be a representative of the company for which the project was developed and have performed a management or supervisory role.

Desirable Experience:

  1. A minimum of two (2) years of experience with Agile methodologies in delivering services and products to align with project/business outcomes.
  2. A minimum of two (2) years of experience with developing strategic direction and architectural strategy and translating direction to system owners, data owners, and PMO team.
  3. A minimum of two (2) years experience collecting and organizing information and creating roadmaps that support the overall enterprise governance processes and IT governance.
  4. A minimum of two (2) years experience with utilizing Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) in architecture assurance.
  5. A minimum of two (2) years experience with analyzing and understanding business functions and information workflows with data dependencies, to support the development of solution roadmaps at an Enterprise level.
