Job description

Come Make an Impact on Millions of Brazilians!

RecargaPay is the Super App that simplifies everyday payments for consumers and SMEs in Brazil.

The platform streamlines payments for over 6 million Brazilians by consolidating credit and debit cards, instant payments like Pix, and Open Finance, on a mission to democratize mobile payments and financial services in Brazil.

Featuring services such as bill payments, mobile top-ups, public transportation, installment plans, and loans, designed with convenience, low cost and flexibility in mind. RecargaPay is changing the way both banked and unbanked Brazilians make their everyday payments and access their financial services.

Development is at the heart of everything we do at RecargaPay. As a Senior Mobile Engineer in the Mobile Delivery team, you’ll not only conduct medium-to-high complexity technical projects autonomously, but you’ll also play a key role in providing technical guidance to team members with lower seniority (such as junior, mid-level, and early-stage senior engineers), conducting code reviews, and ensuring technical excellence across the team.

You’ll be expected to combine strong mobile development skills with a good understanding of mobile delivery processes, including CI/CD, build automation, app distribution, monitoring, and testing. You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers and the Tech Lead, escalating strategic or architectural decisions when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in coding, taking on medium to complex programming tasks autonomously.

  • Participate in architectural discussions, propose process improvements, and help ensure code quality and scalability.

  • Provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-level team members: conduct code reviews, support daily development activities, and drive technical knowledge sharing.

  • Develop and maintain mobile applications built with React Native (Typescript), while also working closely with native Android (Java/Kotlin) and iOS (Objective-C/Swift) code, as our team frequently needs to handle native integrations and platform-specific features.

  • Use state management libraries, preferably Redux.

  • Apply Backend For Frontend (BFF) concepts.

  • Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for build automation, testing, and mobile release processes using tools like GitHub Actions, Fastlane, etc.

  • Manage mobile app delivery to internal testers and production environments via Google Play Console and App Store Connect (for native updates) and over-the-air (OTA) updates (for remote delivery of React Native code).

  • Ensure high product quality by applying automated testing practices (TDD and BDD), covering unit, integration and end-to-end levels.

  • Monitor and diagnose production issues using tools like Firebase Crashlytics, New Relic, Amplitude, Databricks, or equivalent observability and analytics platforms.

  • Collaborate with Backend and Infrastructure teams. Backend experience (preferably in Java) is a plus.

  • Strong experience developing applications in React Native, including state management libraries (Redux/Apollo GraphQL).

  • Familiarity with React Native new architecture, push notifications, deeplinks, and Redux middlewares.

  • Experience with third-party SDK integrations and exposing methods to the React Native layer.

  • Experience in developing native mobile applications for Android and iOS is a plus.

  • Experience writing and maintaining unit, integration and end-to-end tests.

  • Familiarity with test automation practices, including TDD and BDD.

  • Understanding of Backend For Frontend (BFF) concepts.

  • Familiarity with mobile CI/CD tools and processes.

  • Familiarity with debugging and monitoring tools such as Firebase Crashlytics, New Relic, Amplitude, Databricks, or equivalent.

  • Strong autonomy, ownership mindset, and ability to drive delivery with minimal supervision.

  • Commitment to providing technical mentorship and contributing to a high-performance team culture.

  • Alignment with company values: ownership, excellence, adaptability, and innovation.

  • Ability to work within a team and collaborate in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Nice to Have

  • Full Stack experience or previous Backend experience (preferably in Java).
  • Experience optimizing Android, iOS, or React Native build performance.
  • Experience working with the AWS ecosystem and cloud services, such as CloudFront, S3, Lambda, or CloudWatch.
  • Familiarity with Node.js or web development.
  • Experience working in high-traffic, scalable environments.

Experience implementing mobile security measures, including SSL pinning, secure storage, integrity checks, code obfuscation, and anti-hooking.
