This role will focus on designing systems that simplify complex processes for healthcare practices of all sizes.

We are looking for candidates with experience in designing B2B SaaS solutions, ideally within the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate anchors their design practice with systems and workflows in mind, approaching problems with a deep understanding of the complexities of healthcare environments. We are looking for candidates who excel in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, contributing innovative ideas to a cross-functional team to optimize healthcare operations. You are ideally also familiar working within the Product Operating Model (POM) framework.

All activities must be in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA and other regulations, as appropriate.

Essential Functions

  • Help conquer major obstacles for innovative, enterprise-level solutions by optimizing complex user workflows into simpler ones across the entire product life cycle and multiple product launches. Demonstrate the ability to tackle intricate design challenges and set a high standard for usability and user-centric design. Be prepared to take on leadership roles in special projects and initiatives, contributing to the growth and success of the design team and the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners and managers, developers, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and translate them into intuitive solutions that improve our healthcare experiences.
  • Collaborate with research to gain insight into user needs, pain points, and behaviors, and incorporate these findings into thoughtful design decisions. This may include traveling to meet and talk with the practices that use our software to gain insight into how our products can thrive.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team during implementation, providing guidance and oversight to ensure that the final product aligns closely with the intended design and user experience.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, journey mapping, process flows, interaction prototypes, and site maps to effectively communicate design concepts and solutions. These artifacts should demonstrate a deep understanding of user psychology and advanced design principles.
  • Contribute to our shared design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries to ensure consistency and scalability across all products and platforms.
  • Act as a thought leader and advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization. Evangelize the importance of user-centered design and mentor junior/mid-level designers in adopting best practices. Engage in continuous learning and stay updated on the latest design trends and technologies.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for design innovation and present advanced design concepts that push the boundaries of user experience. Contribute to the strategic vision of the design team and the organization as a whole.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned based on business need.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in a UX/UI or Product Design role (or combination of).  Previous experience designing practice management/clinical care solutions or SaaS B2B2C products in an adjacent industry is preferred but not required.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful design projects, demonstrating expertise in user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design. In order to be considered for this position, you must provide some examples of your work.
