Title: Sr. Scrum Master

Position Overview:

The Sr. Scrum Master will help to oversee the scrum development team and manage timelines, resolve problems and coach team members on Agile methodologies. A buffer between the scrum team and product owner and maintain a safe working environment in helping with conflict resolution. Manage each projects’s scope and timeline and coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups. Coaches team members in agile frameworks and facilitates internal communications. The Sr. Scrum Master will work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests, while resolving conflicts and remove any obstacles that may occur. Ensuring that deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint and guides the development team to higher scrum maturity. Helps to build a productive environment where team members “own” the product and enjoy working on it.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the Platform One Party Bus project, ensuring alignment with Party Bus objectives.
  • Manage project tasks, track progress, and maintain documentation using Jira and Confluence.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Sprint Planning, Retros, PI Planning)
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software solutions.
  • Develop and track Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to measure project success and report progress to leadership.
  • Prepare and deliver leadership briefs, providing clear and concise updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Requirements:

  • Technical Background: Former experience as a DevSecOps engineer or backend developer is required.
  • Technical Skills: Solid understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices. Kubernetes experience bonus, Kubernetes understanding required.
  • 5+ years of project or program management experience, preferably in complex, technical DoD or federal environments
  • Background in leading cross-functional teams in hybrid or remote-first environments
  • Tools: Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for project tracking and collaboration.
  • Ability to align project objectives with broader organizational goals and proactively address challenges.
  • Scrum & Planning: Expertise in agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, including sprint planning and backlog management.
  • Strategic thinking with an execution mindset – able to translate high-level vision into actionable steps.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to brief technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment with technical, security, and DoD stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience managing OKRs, KPI metrics, and executive communications
  • Security Clearance: Secret security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, AWS.

Skills/Qualifications:
