Requirements
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or a related field, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
- Combined 5+ years of experience in software security research and security assessment
- Experience in people management and security project management
Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth security research on software applications, identifying vulnerabilities and developing proof-of-concept countermeasures
- Analyze complex software systems to understand how they work, where they have weaknesses, and how vulnerabilities can be mitigated
- Conduct research on new techniques, security mitigations, and identifying vulnerabilities in communication systems
- Supervise the development of security research and evaluation plans and schedule security testing activities
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including certification bodies and industry partners, to stay abreast of the latest security standards and practices
- Utilize advanced tools and techniques such as symbolic execution, automated vulnerability scanning, and binary analysis
- Stay updated with the latest security trends, technologies, and methodologies
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team
- Mentor and coach junior researchers and colleagues in your area of expertise
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide security guidance
- Contribute to the development of innovative security solutions to fight crime and terror
