It’s currently highly manual, involving phone calls, faxes, and gut instinct—costing tens of billions of dollars a year. We can do better.

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Database to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have worked in a start-up environment and wants to help us build efficient, reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure and code. You will bring your expertise and understanding in deploying and automating the delivery of modern SaaS platforms at scale.

🌎 Optimize and scale our database infrastructure for high performance, focusing initially on PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora
👩💻 Implement database monitoring, performance tuning, and scaling solutions to support our growing platform needs
👷 Develop and maintain database optimization strategies to improve overall system performance and reliability
🛠️ Create automated tooling for database management with an eye for consistency and repeatability
🤝 Transition into broader SRE responsibilities after the initial database focus, based on your skillset and team needs
We should talk if…
🦸♀️ You have 8+ years of relevant experience in SRE, DevOps, or Database Administration roles
🛠 You have deep expertise with scaling and administering PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora in production environment
🤖 You’re proficient with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js development
⛓️ You have experience designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and scalable database solutions
🔓 You’re comfortable optimizing database performance at scale and implementing best practices
🧑🔬 You have a strong engineering background with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues
Nice to have, but not required:
✨ Experience with Terraform and Terragrunt
🔄 Knowledge of Prisma and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks
🐳 Experience with containerization technologies and CI/CD pipelines
📊Experience with RedShift or other data warehouses
