We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior / Team Lead Automation QA Engineer for our client.

You will take part in various projects, hunt bugs, identify issues, report it and implement software testing processes. You will collaborate with the product team and engineers and will have ownership of quality through manual and automated testing.

Company: A multi-chain DeFi protocol that will decentralize traditional crypto prime brokerage functions. The main users of the protocol will be hedge funds, financial institutions, and professional traders who trade.

Job Type: Full-time remote

Requirements:

  • Solid knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes and test design techniques.

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.

  • Experience with test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Quality Center.

  • Knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium/Selenide, Playwright, Cypress.

  • Experience with Playwright using TypeScript is desirable.

  • Familiarity with Agile and/or DevOps practices.

  • Solid understanding of software failures.

  • Proactive attitude towards identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions.

  • Solid understanding of SQL and databases.

  • Upper-Intermediate+ level of English.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with public or private blockchain technologies, wallet technology

  • Experience with testing & acceptance of event driven cloud platform

  • Experience with traditional (TradeFi) or decentralised finance (DeFi)

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyse requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely feedback.

  • Define and enforce QA standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.

  • Prioritise and plan testing activities.

  • Analyse functional & non-functional requirements, develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

  • Play the role of test engineer: design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests as well as provide leadership and guidance to the QA team.

  • Lead the planning and execution of testing activities for multiple microservices simultaneously.

  • Maintain existing test automation and develop new one.

  • Release acceptance, stress-testing, performance analysis, fuzzing & mutation test strategy.

  • Monitor and analyse test automation results and provide recommendations for improvements.

  • Maintain the test documentation.

  • Communicate with end users or assistance support.

  • Ability to iterate quickly and produce business value.
