Our company is growing and we are seeking a SAP Senior Technical S4 Conversion/Migration Specialist to be based in one of our offices or in a WFH setup. You will be a member of a hands-on team and will be responsible for the building, testing, implementation and ongoing administration and maintenance of solutions across a diverse range of different industries. This is a role that requires the successful applicant to work independently on projects on latest SAP S/4HANA cloud technology

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • End to end delivery of technology projects including installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, conversions, greenfield/brownfield implementations, and system integrations.

  • Hands-on experience in upgrades, OS/DB migrations, Cloud migrations, and S/4HANA upgrade/migration projects

  • Provide BASIS support for projects involving HANA and S/4HANA

  • Offer technical guidance for cloud migrations across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

  • Troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Manage multiple tasks effectively while working in a collaborative team environment, staying responsive to project and customer requirements.

  • Adapt to fast-paced, evolving environments and meet deadlines effectively.

  • Establish strong, credible relationships with peers and customers while continuously enhancing knowledge of SAP products.

  • Perform SAP BASIS technical consulting, including service restorations/options analysis/impact analysis/technical specifications/release management and future plans for process/systems enhancements within the SAP application landscape

  • Implement configuration changes in non-production environments; perform unit/functional unit testing of the changes before promoting to production via approved transport policies/processes to ensure system integrity.

Mandatory skills

  • Minimum 15 years of SAP Technical administration experience and project delivery
  • At least five migration projects
  • At least two to three S4 conversion projects including RISE
  • Technical project delivery lead and team mentoring experience
  • E_S4HCON2023 or similar S/4 conversation certification
  • Previous versions of OS/DB migration certification
  • HANA 2.0 installation & admin certification SP05 or newer
  • ADM329/ADM330 or the newer Leveraging SAP S/4HANA Updates and Upgrades with Zero Downtime Option (ZDO) of Software Update Manager achievement (will be required after start if doesn’t currently hold)
  • SLES 15 OS operational and admin - min 5 yrs experience including OS prep level knowledge
  • Numerous SWPM/SUM executions and failure RCA experience
  • Proven RCA skills with solution orientated outcome focus
  • Proven technical project delivery and best practise methodology adherence
  • High technical documentation standards resulting from effective English skills
  • HA and DR design and deployment experience to various RTO/RPO SLA’s
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge effectively

Preferred technical skills:

  • SAP Public Cloud Architect (PCA)
  • RISE with SAP activate methodology private cloud
  • Some architectural detailed design document authoring and technical workshop leading
